Federer R. – Wawrinka S. Prediction to match 26.01.2017

Tournament: the Open championship of Australia

Location: courts of Melbourne

Match date: 26.01.2017 11:00 (GMT)

In the semifinals of the Open championship of Australia on tennis there are two Swiss: 17-I racket of the world Roger Federer and 4th in the table of ranks Stanislas Wawrinka. Future opponents are very familiar with each other, met at the various courts dozens of times, and a clear advantage on the side of more experienced face. If Stanislas and defeated the great “Father”, it is only on the ground, no one Hardaway victory from Wawrinka there.

The hardest Nishikori

Federer overcame five rounds of AO, which was stronger than these players: Austrian Melzer, American ruby, Czech Berdych, Japanese kei nishikori and German Zverev. The most difficult match of the tournament for the Swiss happened in the 1/8 finals vs Kay Nishikori. The match lasted 3 hours and 27 minutes, it took five sets, in all other matches the face of such difficulties experienced.

Clean was a problem

As for Wawrinka the most difficult at this AO was the first round in which Stanislas with great difficulty overcame the resistance of the Slovak Klizan. After that everything went like clockwork: 3:0 Johnson, a 3:1 Trinity 3-0 against Seppi, 3:0 Congo. With the Frenchman only the first set was tough: 7:6 in favour of Wawrinka. Then it was 6:4,6:3.

Both future opponents are in great shape, as evidenced by their results, but the preference in this pair want to give more age to Federer, who has beaten Wawrinka on hard, and probably will do so again in the coming Thursday. Roger is simply amazing for its physical condition. Our free forecast for the meeting:

Marin Cilic vs Roger Federer Betting Tips & Predictions

The 2017 Men’s Wimbledon final will be contested by former seven-time champion Roger Federer, and former US Open champion Marin Cilic. Federer is aiming to win a historic, unmatched, eighth Wimbledon title when he takes to the court on Sunday afternoon, while his opponent is aiming for a second career grand slam title. For Cilic, a first Wimbledon final awaits, and if that wasn’t daunting enough his opponent is arguably the greatest player in the history of the game. Federer, on the other hand, is no stranger to a Wimbledon final. The Swiss superstar has won this prestigious tournament on seven separate occasions in the past, including in five successive years between 2003 and 2007. However, Federer’s last triumph here was back in 2012, and since then he’s lost in two finals, both to Novak Djokovic. While Federer will be desperate to win an eighth title here, and break the record for most Men’s Wimbledon titles won, Cilic will also be aiming to win the title for the first time.

Federer continued to wow spectators with his amazing tennis over the last fortnight, as he reached his eleventh Wimbledon final. The eighteen-time grand slam champion has still not dropped a set throughout the tournament, as he battled past Tomas Berdych in the semi-finals, in his toughest match yet. After the retirement of Alexandr Dolgopolov in the opening round and straight sets wins over Dusan Lajovic, Mischa Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov and Milos Raonic, Federer set-up a semi-final meeting with the Czech ace Tomas Berdych. Despite Federer coming through in straight sets, the match was closer than the score line might suggest. The first two sets both went all the way to the tiebreak, before Federer got the break he needed in the third set to see the match out 6-4 in the final set, in another straight sets win. Federer is continuing to produce fantastic tennis, some of the best of his career, as the Swiss ace aims to win a second grand slam of the year, following his Australian Open triumph. Federer will be desperate to finally win an eighth Wimbledon title this time around, which would take him into a league of his own here at SW19, and he has a great chance of doing just that.

Meanwhile, his opponent Marin Cilic has also had a fantastic tournament so far. The 2014 US Open champion has continued his fantastic recent form here at Wimbledon, as he booked his place in his first final here at SW19. The Croatian ace came from a set down to oust American Sam Querrey 3-1 in the semi-finals, in another great match between the pair. Prior to this, Cilic had dropped just two sets in reaching the semi-finals, seeing off the likes of Roberto Bautista-Agut and Gilles Muller along the way. Cilic has gone under the radar for most of this tournament, and as his section of the draw opened up, he was ready to pounce on the opportunity. The former grand slam champion is yet to face a top fifteen player at these Championship’s, and so Federer will be a huge step up from anything he’s faced thus far. Nonetheless, all Cilic can do is beat the player that’s in front of him, and he’s done a fantastic job in doing that so far. If Cilic is to get the better of Federer, and claim a maiden Wimbledon title, he will have to play his very best tennis. Cilic has the game to beat Federer, but will he be able to produce it in the biggest match of his career?

Federer will go into the final as the hot favourite to win an eighth Wimbledon title, and when you look at their head-to-head record, it should come as no surprise. The Swiss ace has won six of the seven previous meetings between the pair, including a quarter-final here at Wimbledon last year. Cilic raced into a two-set lead in the match, but he couldn’t convert any of the three match points he had, as Federer came back to win a five-set epic. However, Cilic should take solace in the fact that he has beaten Federer in a grand slam event in the past. The Croatian ace played one of his best ever matches as he saw off Federer in straight sets in the semi-final on the 2014 US Open, on his way to claiming his only grand slam title to date. Federer, however, is playing a level of tennis at the moment where people can’t even take a set off him, let alone win a match. When both players’ take to the court on Sunday afternoon we should be in for a fantastic final, where history will be made whatever the result.

Roger Federer has been my pick for the tournament since before a match had been played, and I’ve not seen anything over the last fortnight to change my mind on this. Roger has been playing at a level above anyone else throughout the tournament, he’s been in blistering form, and I can’t see that changing here when he takes on Cilic. I feel as though Federer has that little bit more composure when it’s needed, and is that little bit more consistent than Cilic is, who can on occasion go missing for a short spell in the match, which he can’t afford to do against Federer. Federer is still yet to drop a set in this tournament, but he has been getting closer and closer to doing so in recent matches, and since Cilic will be the toughest opposition he has faced yet, I fancy Cilic to take a set off Roger in the final. Despite this, I can’t see Cilic getting any more than that, with Federer winning that historic eighth Wimbledon title, and first since 2012. Federer to win by a score of 3-1, to claim an unbelievable nineteenth grand slam title.

Stan Wawrinka vs Kei Nishikori Betting Picks, US Open Semifinal Preview

Men’s Semifinal Preview: Stan Wawrinka vs Kei Nishikori Betting Picks & Predictions

Stan Wawrinka faces Kei Nishikori, the conqueror of Andy Murray, in the second of the US Open semifinals today (4.30pm ET Friday, but dependent on the finishing time of the first semifinal).

This one is a bit of a shocker. It is not so much seeing Wawrinka reach the finals at yet another major, something he has been doing with a minor level of consistency over the last two years, but the fact that Nishikori (pictured) is his opponent. For many bettors and avid tennis fans who have been following the sport since Wimbledon, that was a spot that was surely going to go to the second ranked player in the world, Andy Murray.

Murray entered the US Open having won both Wimbledon and the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was playing some of the best tennis of his career. A win would have even led to the Scotsman supplanting Novak Djokovic as top ranked in the world. But Nishikori had no issue bursting that bubble as he shocked Murray in five sets and earned his own place in the semifinals for the second time in the last three years.

This was easily Nishikori’s most impressive win. It followed three four-set victories, one each against Benjamin Becker, Karen Khachanov and Nicholas Mahut, and then a straight sets win over Ivo Karlovic to reach the quarterfinals. The match wasn’t easy as Nishikori lost the first set 6-1 as it looked like Murray would continue his roll. The two split the next two sets before Nishikori got his own 6-1 set victory and finally got the one service break he needed to win the fifth and deciding set 7-5.

Nishikori’s win opened up the draw for Djokovic, who very well may have fallen victim to Murray given their recent past and the Scotsman’s recent play. However, it also opens up the door for a guy like Wawrinka, who is making his third US Open semifinal appearance, his most of any major.

One of the best players in the world these days not named Djokovic, Murray, Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, Wawrinka navigated through his draw with some ups and downs. He took down Fernando Verdasco and Alessando Giannessi in straight sets to open his US Open. He then needed to come back from two sets to one down, in a brutal match that needed two tie breaks and spanned over four hours against the qualifier Daniel Evans. He needed four sets against Iilya Marchenko and again against Olympic silver medalist Juan Martin Del Potro in the quarterfinals.

This will be the fifth time Nishikori and Wawrinka are meeting head-to-head with the two-time major winning Swissman leading three matches to two. However, the last time they met on hard courts, in the 2014 US Open men’s semifinal, it was Nishikori who walked away with the five-set victory. Wawrinka will no doubt be hoping to avoid a repeat result this year.

In order to do so, Wawrinka will have to maintain a firm grip on his serve as Nishikori has broken serve 30 times in the US Open, which is better than anyone remaining in the field. He has played top notch tennis and while he had the more grueling semifinal, both will come into this with equal rest time and similar total court time.

Our Preview’s Stan Wawrinka vs Kei Nishikori Betting Picks

Being aggressive is going to be the key here for both men as well as playing smart tennis. The two don’t know each other that well on the court so that US Open semifinal could serve as the barometer for how they attack offensively and conversely how they respond defensively. It is Wawrinka’s power against Nishikori’s technical savvy and it’s anyone’s guess who is headed to the finals to play either Djokovic or the upstart Gael Monfils.

The USA sportsbooks’ betting odds favor Nishikori in this spot but I’m going to be the contrarian and pick Wawrinka for this preview. Yes, Nishikori did get a huge confidence boosting win against the man who quite possibly was playing the best tennis in the world as of late, but it was grueling and one has to wonder how much that took out of him. So here are the betting picks:

  • Take Wawrinka to win this on the moneyline @ best betting odds of +120 with 5Dimes Sportsbook or BetOnline. It is -115 with Bovada.
  • In terms of total sets played, my prediction is that this one goes the distance so take over 3.5 sets @ -250 with Bovada Sportsbook.

Wimbledon 2015 Quarterfinals: Prediction, Betting Odds For Djokovic, Federer, Murray And Wawrinka

Just eight players remain in the hunt for the 2015 Wimbledon championship, and the top four seeds are all set to play on Wednesday. Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka are all expected to win their respective matches and advance to the semifinals.

After defeating competitors who didn’t have much of a chance to make a run in the tournament, tennis’ top stars will face some tougher competition. Both Djokovic and Federer will go up against top-12 seeds, and Wawrinka is considered to have the toughest challenge of all the favorites. Had Rafael Nadal not been upset in the second round, he could’ve been in line to face Murray in Wednesday’s quarterfinals match.

Below are predictions for all of Wednesday’s Wimbledon matches, as well as betting odds, courtesy of Bovada.lv.

Roger Federer vs. Gilles Simon

Federer appears poised to make another trip to the semifinals. He breezed through his fourth-round match against No.20 Roberto Bautista Agut on Tuesday, and he’s been edged in just one set at Wimbledon. The two players have never met on grass, but Federer has just two losses against Simon, including wins in their last five head-to-head matches. Simon was impressive his his recent straight-set victory over No.6 Tomas Berdych, but the No.2 seed could prove to be too much for him.

Betting Odds: Federer-900, Simon+600

Prediction: Federer in five sets

Andy Murray vs. Vasek Pospisil

The Brit is considered to have the easiest road to the semifinals. Pospisil is ranked No.54 in the world, and though he’s beaten two top-30 players at Wimbledon, the Australian Open was the last time he won more than two matches at any tournament. Murray has won all nine of his matches on grass in 2015, and he should be able to get his 10th against the biggest longshot in the field.

Betting Odds: Murray-3300, Pospisil+1400

Prediction: Murray in four sets

Novak Djokovic vs. Marin Cilic

After dominating his first three matches, Djokovic showed some vulnerability in Round No.4, losing the first two sets of his match with Kevin Anderson. But the defending Wimbledon champ rebounded to win the final three sets, and he shouldn’t have much trouble in getting to this year’s semifinals. Cilic started the tournament as one of the top competitors, outside of the top few players. But he’s been dominated by Djokovic, losing all 12 of his career matches against the No.1 seed. Cilic did manage to take Djokovic to five sets in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon last year, but there’s little reason to believe that he’ll be able to win.

Betting Odds: Djokovic-1400, Cilic+800

Prediction: Djokovic in straight sets

Stan Wawrinka vs. Richard Gasquet

Despite replacing Rafael Nadal as the world’s fourth-best player, Wawrinka is not considered a near-automatic entrant in the Wimbledon semifinals like the remaining members of tennis’ “Big Four.” Gasquet has a few impressive wins over the past week, topping No.11 Grigor Dimitrov and No.26 Nick Kyrgios. Wawrinka beat Gasquet to reach the quarterfinals of the 2013 French Open, and Gasquet won their only other matchup in 2006. The world’s No.4 player has yet to lose a set at Wimbledon, and he should be able to advance on Wednesday.

Betpredict-free betting soccer predictions, Best Prediction Website, Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer at the US Open 2015 betpredict

Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer at the US Open 2015

World number #1 Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer to win his second US Open and 10th Grand Slam title. He has moved up 5th place in world tennis ranking along side Bill Tilden.

Roger Federer has had a good year also having one trophy and was hoping to win his 18th major title and his first for three years but Djokovic was on point and made sure the game was within reach on all sets.

The defeat by Stan Wawrinka in the French Open final in June means Djokovic was just one win short of completing the first calendar Grand Slam in men’s tennis since Laver in 1969. And his achievement also speaks as Djokovic is the third man in the Open Era, which began in 1968, to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a calendar year, after Rod Laver in 1969 and Roger Federer in 2006, 2007 and 2009
